Developing Nutrient Requiement and Feeding Guidelines

The project will begin the process of developing a mechanism for determining estimates of the nutrient requirements of farm animals. For many years, estimates of nutrient requirements were published by the National Research Council. However, these publications are in dire need of revision and the process is not taking place. The funds will be used primarily for travel to establish a process whereby this can be accomplished by another mechanism.
