Scope of work for University of Kentucky Greenwall Foundation Making a Difference Grant Developing stakeholder-engaged ethical guidance for public health wastewater surveillance Caroline Buchanan PhD, HEC-C is an Assistant Professor with UK’s Program for Bioethics and a co- investigator on the project. She will dedicate 1.2 calendar months (10% FTE) to the project. She will support the design of data collection tools, participant interviews, data analysis, ethical construct development, and knowledge dissemination. Dr. Buchanan will serve as the site PI at UK. Dan O’Hair PhD is Professor and former Dean of the College of Communication and Information at UK and a co-investigator on the project. He will dedicate 1.2 calendar months (10% FTE) to the project. He will provide expertise and guidance on the development of case studies, participant interviewing, data analysis and knowledge dissemination. For the planned duration of the project (April 2022 – September 2023) Drs. Buchanan and O’Hair will attend scheduled and ad hoc project team meetings and sponsor meetings. They will actively contribute to 1) writing IRB documents, 2) designing case studies, 3) developing stakeholder interview guides and data collection tools, 4) qualitative analysis of interview data, 5) writing sponsor reports, and 6) writing manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
