Description
The Kentucky Department of Agriculture has made supplemental funds available for the 2009-
2010 fiscal year. These funds will be used to:
1. Continue to provide the current level of diagnostic procedures/assays for identifying
livestock diseases.
2. Maintain a high level of monitoring, surveillance and epidemiologic activity for contagious
diseases of livestock.
3. Provide essential testing to meet sales and export requirements for all animal species.
4. Conduct tests for bacteria, viruses, chemicals and toxins that can harm animals and
threaten public health.
