Grants and Contracts Details
Description
The Kentucky Digital Library (KDL) has been selected to serve as one of seven (four funded) Service Hubs
for the Digital Public Library of America to launch in April 2013. The KDL will serve as an onramp for
Kentucky content from libraries and archives around the state. Metadata will be harvested and
combined with data from the other Service and Content Hubs in new and inventive ways to present
Kentucky content to an international audience. This project has a community engagement piece as a
major component funded by the Knight foundation.
