Does the Use of Liposomal Bupivacaine Decrease Narcotic Requirements in Geriatric Hip Fractures? A Randomized, Double Blinded Control Trial

Dr. Matuszewski and Dr. Swart both were pivotal in the creation of the clinical trial protocol and all aspects of the grant and planning for the trial. During the ongoing trial, Dr. Matuszewski will be responsible for the day-to-day overseeing of research operations of the orthopaedic trauma division. He will oversee the research coordinator responsible for enrolling and engaging patients for the trial. Dr. Matuszewski will also be responsible for the care of many of the patients participating in the study. He will also be involved in the data analysis and drafting of the manuscript and bringing it to publication following the conclusion of the study.
