ECA-PGR: Identifying Host Factors the Modulate the Association of Tall Fescue (Festuca Arundinacea) with Beneficial Epichloë Endophytes

Grants and Contracts Details

Description

Abstract Samples of developing seeds will be taken from each of three stages of development for the following half-sib families with combinations of tall fescue and fungal endophyte: Parent plant 46 with CTE endophyte. Parent plant 46 endophyte-cured. Parent plant 19-12 with NTE endophyte. Parent plant 19-12 endophyte-cured. The half-sib families are replicated (with others) in three randomized field plots at Spindletop Farm in Lexington, KY. Each replicate plot will be sampled, giving a total of 12 plots * three stages = 36 samples. The samples will be provided to Dr. Jason Wallace at the University of Georgia.
