Statement of work for the University of Kentucky
ECO-CBET- Foliar applied plant-activated nitrogen delivery agents for sustainable crop production.
Greg Lowry (Overall PI), Olga Tsyusko (PI for UK).
Project performance dates 9/1/2021-8/31/2025
The University of Kentucky will be responsible for experiments that determine plant nitrogen use
efficiency of the developed delivery agents, fate of nitrogen in greenhouse applications, plant health,
growth and development. The University of Kentucky will also be responsible for screening toxicity of
candidate delivery agents using the C. elegans toxicity testing system and determining effects on soil
biology (fatty acid methyl ester analysis and soil enzyme activities), reproductive toxicity in earthworms.
