Description
Mission: To strengthen Kentucky's rural economies by empowering small businesses entrepreneurs to capitalize on innovation and expanded market opportunities through technical assistance focused on improving employment and revenue using economic gardening (EG).
Goals:
1) Focus on entrepreneurial and small business growth with Kentucky firms.
2) Implement an EG program emphasizing food processing, wood products processing, rural healthcare, and rural retail firms. (Kentucky Proud Clients, GOAP clients, FSIC (Food System Innovation Center) clients, MarketReady clients in addition to entities in the health care sector working with (CEDIK) the Community and Economic Development Initiative for Kentucky.
3) Provide technical assistance by assisting in commercialization and market development.
