Economic Impact of the Natural Products Industry in KY

The goal of this research project is to detennine the economic impact of the natural products industry in Kentucky. The natural products industry is defined here as an industry that uses "natural processes in the manufacturing and development of consumer and business based goods and services". Given the growing importance of biotechnology and biology based processes in the economy, this industry represents an important growth component of the U.S. economy. This report win examine the existing and projected economic impact of the Kentucky natural products industry.
