Description
The Colorado Department of Education (CDE) will contract with Inclusive Large
Scale Standards and Assessments (ILSSA) to develop selected components of the
Alternate Assessment Collaborative Enhanced Assessment Grant.
Task 1. Attend and participate in Project Leadership Team (PLI) meetings
and activities.
Task 2. Write, in conjunction with the Instructionally Embedded Assessment
Component Coordinator (from Iowa), Instructionally Embedded
Assessments for middle school English Language Arts, high school
Mathematics, and elementary Science.
2.1.1 Work with Iowa Component Coordinator and Project Director to establish
a plan for developing the assessments, including agendas for CDT
meetings.
2.1.2 Provide room facilitator/ writer for each of middle school English
Language Arts, high school Mathematics, and elementary Science CDT
meetings for the Instructionally Embedded Assessments.
2.1.3 Write assessments for middle school English Language Arts, high school
Mathematics, and elementary Science based on CDT meetings and SDT
feedback.
2.1.4 Develop ancillary materials for all three assessments. If ancillary materials
are copyrighted, obtain appropriate copyright perrmssions and maintain file
of permissions for CD E and PLT review.
2.1.5 Write administration manuals for all three assessments.
2.1.6 Write scoring rubrics for all three assessments.
2.1.7 Present materials and a status update to Project Director and the
InstructionaHy Embedded Assessment Component Coordinator on a
monthly basis during development.
2.1.8 Present draft materials at second CDT meeting for review and revision by
CDT.
2.1.9 Revise materials as requested by the PL T. Obtain approval from PL l' for
any changes made after the final PLT review tentatively scheduled for
March 2004.
