Environmental Scan

Abstract The Environmental Scan will enable the Commonwealth to fulfill federal requirements necessary for implementing the Kentucky Health Information Technology (HIT) Plan approved by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). CMS included a requirement for conducting an HIT Environmental Scan by the end of November 2015. The purpose of this scan is to survey progress in Electronic Health Record (EHR) adoption by Kentucky healthcare providers eligible for participation in the Kentucky Medicaid Incentive Payment Program.
