Description

Outfit adult and yearling cow elk with vaginal implant transmitters and Global Positioning System (GPS) collars to determine natality in eastern Kentucky. Elk calves born from GPSequipped cow elk will be fitted with radio-collars to estimate calf survival. Field research and data analysis will be conducted by two M.S. students at the University of Kentucky.
