Description
The University of Kentucky Center on Drug and Alcohol Research will be responsible for:
1) Training new treatment staff on the collection of baseline/intake measures.
2) Maintaining supported and secure databases for transmission of baseline/intake data into a central repository. Baseline data will be compiled and analyzed for DOC project team members on a quarterly basis to track the characteristics of program clients entering treatment.
3) Conducting follow-up interviews with all treatment participants 6 months following release in order to examine changes in primary performance measures. The evaluation team will enter study data and analyze outcomes and changes in performance measures for the final evaluation report at the conclusion of the study.
4) Conduct process evaluation consisting of secondary data collection and qualitative interviews with
study participants, family members, treatment staff, and DOC representatives in order to assess the implementation and success of the project. Primary areas of interest will include who received services, descriptions of project services, facilitating factors associated with project successes, and project sustainability. The goal will be to understand the program characteristics that have the potential to impact study outcomes.
