Description
The objectives of this study will be to evaluate the perforn]ance of pavement markings
cunently being used in Kentuch" and offer guidelines or recommendations for application and
installation. Specific objective for FY 2010 will include the following: 1) evaluate perfonnance-based
specifications for paint stTiping contracts: 2) continue monitoring the reflectivity and durability of paint
stripes to detenlline if the cy-cle ofrestriping after two years produces suitable results: and 3) evaluate
alternatives to raised pavement markers for achieving wet-nighuime visibility. including wet-reflective
tape.
