Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government First Responders-Comprehensive Addiction
and Recovery Support Services (LFUCG FR-CARA 2) Evaluation
Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government (LFCUG) submitted a grant to SAMHSA to fund
the First Responders-Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Support Services project. The UK
Center on Drug and Alcohol Research will be responsible for conducting the required evaluation
for this project, if funded. The evaluation includes collecting and analyzing de-identified data
from several local community public health and first responder groups. A process evaluation will
be conducted annually by the evaluation team through confidential interviews with key staff and
stakeholders to document information on program implementation and organizational policy
changes stemming from grant activities. Reports will be prepared for LFUCG for regular and on-
going Continuous Quality Improvement meetings to measure and address issues related to
implementation and on-going challenges. In addition, an annual report including both process
and local level outcome evaluation data will be prepared.
