Fan Assessment Numeration Systems (FANS) for Agricultural Building Ventilation Measurement in Emissions Testing

Grants and Contracts Details

Description

The objective is to design, fabricate and assemble six new Fan Assessment Numeration Systems (FANS), including upgraded data acquisition and control systems for an existing FANS unit built previously by PI Gates for Purdue University as part of a USDA IFAFS grant. These systems are unique in that they allow agricultural air quality researchers the ability to determine fan performance curves for ventilations fans that are already installed in buildings. Subsequently, these performance curves all for high quality building emissions monitoring to be performed.
