Grants and Contracts Details

Description

The project that I propose takes insights I have gained from my previous research on the gendered ideology-construction practices of the coal industry and applies them to agribusiness. Through comparing the findings of this project to my previous work on coal, I hope to develop important theoretical insights into the ways in which the gender system, and hegemonic masculinity in particular, may be used as a tool of social control by environmentally-destructive industries in rural areas.
