Description
Maintain a statewide surveillance system for occupational fatalities, called the Fatality Assessment and Control Evaluation
"(FACE) project. Surveillance includes the identification of work-related fatalities, as well as follow-up, investigations,
dissemination of information, and development of prevention strategies.
This project is funded from a grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Institute of Occupational
Safety and Health (CDC/NIOSH) that only state government entities can receive. All of the funds from the grant will be
avajJa~le for the Kentucky Injury Prevention and Research Center.
Submit monthly reports to NIOSH. Submit copies of all reports (including an annual report) and prevention materials that
are developed to NIOSH and the Department for Public Health.
