Grants and Contracts Details

Description

This MOU is for a grant of $125,000 to the Center for Innovation in Education (Center or CIE) at the University of Kentucky from the Nellie Mae Education Foundation (NMEF or the Foundation) for a next phase of work in 2015 to test new finance policy schema and resource allocation strategies in local sites in New Hampshire and Kentucky that would accelerate student-centered learning in secondary schools. This work will advance the issue of finance policy and funding formula as key considerations for states and districts pursuing systems-wide transition to highly personalized, competency-based systems. It builds upon Phase One efforts initiated in early 2014 with funding from the NMEF. The Center is administratively attached to the University of Kentucky College of Education.
