Description
This project will focus on children at risk for overweight (850/0-95% BMI) while following
the impact on the entire school population. By working with the Coordinated School
Health Program (CSHP) Model within a School Based Health Center (SBHC) setting the
goal is to stabilize or reduce the BMI status, improve the healthy lifestyles. of these children
and improve school attendance, lead by the University of Kentucky Department of
Pediatrics this project will collaborate with Tates Creek Elementary school, Family
Resource Center, Fayette County Health Department and other community agencies as well
as the KDPH.
