Description

The University of Kentucky will contract with the North Central Kentucky Area Health Education Center to address health education primarily to the Latino and African American communities. The Latino and African American population have been identified as disparate populations in need of health care services. This contract will provide culturally appropriate health information, education, and lay health worker development and support to assist disparate populations in accessing health care services. The Scope of Work for the North Central Area Health Education Center (A}{EC) is as follows: I. Conformity with Established Organizational Guidelines A. The Center Director and staff, as appropriate, will attend all ALTEC Center Directors Meetings and AHEC Annual meetings. North Central Kentucky ALTEC staff will participate in other regional, state and national MIEC meetings and related professional association meetings as permitted by budgetary constraints. B. North Central Kentucky staffing will be maintained within approved budget levels. Staffing should reflect the level of activity within the region. C. Job descriptions for each staff position will be submitted to the ALTEC Central Office as an attachment to the first monthly budget report. D. An organizational chart with job titles and names of individuals in each position will be submitted to the ALTEC Central Office as an attachment to the first monthly budget report for the fiscal year. This chart should reflect the relationship between the North Central Kentucky ALTEC and the University of Kentucky, as well as with the host institution.
