Description

The University of Kentucky Prevention Research Center (UK PRC) will work with the Kentucky Department for Public Health to provide state public health actions to prevent and control diabetes, heart disease, tobacco, obesity and associated risk factors, and to promote the School Health Grant. Specifically, the UK PRC will continue work from fiscal year 2016 to develop evaluation plans and final evaluation reports for a) early care and education b) farmers’ markets c) pedestrian plans d) tobacco and e) surveys and other tools needed to meet grant performance measures. Specific deliverables include the following: 1) Meet with Obesity staff from the Department for Public Health to review grant action plans, data sources, and expected products as a result of funding; 2) Create, implement and analyze stakeholder surveys and training evaluations; 3) Participate in QUAD Grant Evaluation Team conference calls, webinars, and meetings 4) Meet with Tobacco program staff to review grant action plans, data sources, and expected products as a result of funding; 5) Analyze current grant evaluation plan and deliverables and provide guidance to enhance, finalize, and implement objectives; 6) Analyze current strategic plan and deliverables and provide guidance to enhance, finalize, and implement plan.
