Description

Regional Cancer Control Specialists (RCCS) will recruit rural centers/clinics to pilot a FluFIT screening. RCCS will assess center/clinic needs and procedures; provide training and consultation as needed for planning, implementation, and evaluation. The Director of KCP East will assist with recruitment and evaluation. KCP will work in coordination with the American Cancer Society (ACS) to promote the ACS Flu/FIT intervention in communities in the Appalachia area. ACS will provide indirect support at no cost to this project. The KY REC will work with Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) or other health systems in Kentucky to conduct preliminary assessments of technology and workflow related barriers, provide feedback and analysis and assist with implementation or better use of provider and patient reminder systems, and develop a plan for improvement. They will conduct monthly calls and quarterly onsite visits to provide technical assistance. Project 1502: Development of outcome and process measures for the 1502 grant, technical assistance to the leadership team and program management staff. Provision of quarterly reports and an annual evaluation report, as well as additional reporting that may be required by CDC. Participation in leadership meetings and other presentations and reporting as deemed necessary over the project period.
