FY19 Training Resource Center - NYTD/Independent Living Services

Adept training frameworks are essential to ensuring foster parent and child well-being. Despite this importance, few comprehensive training approaches exist, particularly as it relates to the foster parents of foster youth experiencing significant behavioral and emotional challenges. This project entails assessing the training needs of foster parents providing a high level of care to children in foster care with significant mental, behavioral, and emotional needs. Then, project foci shift to developing and implementing trainings, based on that assessment.
