The University of Kentucky Center on Trauma and Children (UK CTAC) will work with the
Kentucky Department of Behavioral Health Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities
(DBHDID) to strengthen their policies and practices to respond to staff trauma, and to facilitate
implementation and sustainability of STS-BSC team activities launched in contract periods #1
and #2. Specifically, the University of Kentucky Center on Trauma and Children will provide
evaluation, technical assistance and consulting services in four key areas: Establishing the
Collaborative Change Framework and Scope of the Project in collaboration and coordination
with the DBHDID; Pre and Post Assessment and Consultation; Face to Face Learning Sessions;
and Coaching and Consultation During Action Periods. To this end, UK CTAC will perform the
following activities:
For Contract Period 3: July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023
1) Re-Administration of the surveys (time 3) to teams wanting ongoing evaluation and
support, and consultation/assistance with communication strategies to increase response
rate (up to 25). This would include surveys for teams who only want the survey results
and do not want to be in another STS-BSC
2) Preparation of dashboards (time 3) tailored to each site that represents end of initiative
BSC data. These dashboards would be customized based on jurisdiction and DBHDID
requests (up to 25). This would include dashboards for teams who only want dashboards
and do not want to be in another STS-BSC.
3) Launch three Phase II STS-BSCs for those teams wanting implementation and
sustainability support. The STS-BSCs will be grouped in the following manner (one for
community mental health, one for DCBS teams)
4) Consultation calls throughout the first two action periods (pre-work prior to Learning
Session 1, action work between Learning Session 1 and Learning Session 2, and during
action period 2 through Learning Session 3)
5) Up to eight planning calls with the DBHDID and/or STS-BSC teams to discuss findings,
plan for collaborative sessions, problem solve issues that arise, or to provide technical
assistance.
For Contract Period 3: June 30, 2023 to September 29, 2023
1) Complete all STS-BSCs
2) Administer end of the initiative surveys for all Phase I and Phase II teams
3) Prepare and distribute end of the initiative dashboards
