FY23 and FY24 Pediatric Hemophilia Treatment Center Services SECTION 2-SCOPE OF SERVICES 2.00-Services Required Pursuant to KRS 200.460, the Office of Children with Special Health Care Needs (OCSHCN) is statutorily mandated to provide services to children with disabilities through contractual agreement or otherwise. The University of Kentucky Research Foundation, Office of Graduate Medical Education through the Division of Child Neurology shall provide a qualified resident to participate in the child neurology residency program (hereinafter referred to as “trainee”). The trainee will meet all national neurology residency program requirements and will begin the program with the understanding of completing the requirements for the five years program. Training will be conducted in accordance with the ACGME requirements for Child Neurology as found on the ACGME web site (www.acgme.org). The trainee will not be an employee of the OCSHCN; however, when rotating through OCSHCNs facilities he/ she will follow rules, regulations and policies applicable to his/ her position as a trainee at the OCSHCN. The trainee will remain subject to all UKRF rules, regulations and policies while at a OCSHCN facility including those governing conduct and grievance. UKRF shall affirm that the primary source verification of credentials has been completed for the trainee including applicable school diploma and state license, and valid ECFMG and/or VISA as applicable. UKRF shall also affirm that the trainee has completed compliance training including domestic violence, HIV, OSHA, Risk Management and HIPAA. The UKRF faculty shall assume educational and supervisory responsibility for the trainee. 2.01-Deliverables The University of Kentucky Research Foundation, Division of Child Neurology shall: 1. Provide education regarding child neurology to the trainee with the understanding that they will be prepared and eligible to sit for the national board certification examination at the completion training 2. Have all UKRF Child Neurology residents in training attend OCSHCNs clinics in Lexington, Somerset, Ashland, Morehead, Hazard, Pikeville, Prestonsburg, Barbourville and Manchester.
