“The Bridge” Kentucky’s Connection to Rural Health Issues
The Bridge, a quarterly magazine that highlights best practices and innovative solutions to Kentucky''''s
rural health challenges, is produced in a collaboration between the University of Kentucky Center of
Excellence in Rural Health and the Kentucky Office of Rural Health. “The Bridge” funded in part by
Federal Health Resources and Services Administration Primary Care Office grant funds.
The Kentucky Office of Rural Health aims and deliverables:
1. Work with safety net partner agencies to publish and disseminate a rural health journal with
articles and information relevant to Kentucky''''s rural health community.
2. Publish the journal three times a year in print and electronic format. (July 29, 2022, October 31,
2022, January 30, 2023).
3. The KORH, in partnership with the safety net partners, will continue to investigate alternative
routes to make the rural health journal financially self-sustaining.
4. Coordinate a meeting between safety net partners to conduct an annual strategic planning
session.
5. All rural health journal publications shall include a notice that this item was partially paid for
through Federal Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Primary Care Office grant
funds.
