Project Summary:
This Graduate Assistance in Areas of National Need proposal addresses the need, as described
through several reports from national agencies and federal initiatives, for highly trained researchers
and teachers in the field of materials science. The proposed project leverages the resources of the
University of Kentucky to offer cross-cutting graduate training and supervised teaching
experiences within the Materials Science and Engineering program in the Department of Chemical
and Materials Engineering.
