Extended Description KRS 211.180 requires programs that are ~imed at the detection, prevention and control of diseases including chronic and degenerative diseases. There are only two centers that provide genetic services in Kentucky. The geographic layout of Kentucky makes it difficult for individualslfamilies that are in need of genetic services to access those two sites. This contract improves access to genetic services for all citizens. Genetic services shall be provided to residents in central and eastern Kentucky through center-based and outreach clinic sites. Educational training shall be provided to increase knowledge and awareness of genetics to health care professionals.
