Genetics Clinic--FY 14

UK shall be providing the following services as required by KRS 211.180: detection, prevention and control of diseases including chronic and degenerative disease. There are only two centers that provide genetic services in KY. The geographic layout of KY makes it difficult for individuals/families that are in need of genetic services to access those two sites. This contract improves access to genetic services for all citizens. UK shall provide genetic services to residents in central and eastern KY through center-based and outreach clinic sites. UK shall provide educational training to increase knowledge and awareness of genetics to health care professionals.
