Geologic Carbon Storage Data In Kentucky for Use in the USGS National Geologic Carbon Dioxide Sequestration Assessment (COTA)

KGS proposes to provide the USGS with mutually agreed upon data needed for COTSA. As with previous USGS-sponsored cloal and oil and gas assessments, data stored and compiled at state levels are critical to developing a national assessment from which federal energy and environmental decisions can be made. KGS has a long and successful partnership with the USGS National Coal Resource Data System, and previous natiional coal assessments, and envisions similar cooperation and success with COTSA.
