Description

The overarching objective of this project is to advance the design and construction of a Mini Fischer-Tropsch Refinery at the University of Kentucky Center for Applied Energy Research. The project is intended to build on work already conducted by CAER for the early design of a pilot F-T refinery and associated infrastructure. With financial resources provided by the Commonwealth of Kentucky, CAER designed a simplified block diagram of the proposed "mini Fischer-Tropsch refinery". It further contracted Zeton, Inc. of Burlington, ON, Canada for a Cost Estimation and Feasibility Study focusing on the design of a refinery
