Grants and Contracts Details
Description
Transfer in from West Virginia University - the specific aim for year 3 was to determine the role of GSK3B and Chop (GADD153) in ethanol-induced nueronal damage. With cultured neuronal cells and organotypic slice cultures of the developing cerebellum, we will determine whether ehtanol-induced cell cycle arrest of neuronal precursors, altertion in migration pattern, inhibition of neurtie outgrowth and induction of apoptosis are mediated by the activation of GSK3B and/or Chop.
