Description
This proposal has been prepared in response to a request from staff of the Kentucky
Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) for a proposal/scope of services and cost estimate for conducting a Phase
I archaeological survey for a portion of KY 1962, which is also the entrance to Kingdom Come State
Park, in Harlan County, Kentucky. The work that will be conducted is intended to provide an inventory
of all archaeological resources within the project area and to provide an evaluation each resource’s
potential eligibility for listing on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). The work will also
include evaluation of the documentary and cartographic sources pertaining to the project area and its
vicinity.
