Hazard Mitigation Program & Grant Management

This Program Project is large, complex and includes eight major components: aiding local communities in mitigation project applications; coordinating with FEMA for application approvals; managing mitigation projects; closing mitigation projects with the local communities and FEMA; aiding Kentucky's Area Development Districts and some local communities in development of mitigation plans; coordinating with FEMA for mitigation planning approvals; managing planning grants and closing planning grants with local government entities and FEMA. These projects, along with this project at the University, are funded from six different disasters with Hazard Mitigation Grant Program projects.
