Description

The University of Kentucky (UK) College of Public Health (CPH) shall provide the expertise of an experienced and certified Infection Preventionist (IP) as the manager of the Healthcare Associated Infection (HAI) Prevention Program and to facilitate the Kentucky State and Regional Infection Prevention and Epidemiology Program (K-STRIPE) advisory committee In implementing committee goals and the state HAI Plan. The University of Kentucky (UK) College of Public Health shall provide the expertise of experienced and certified Infection Preventionist(s) (IP) to assist with training of healthcare staff in infection prevention and control, validate surveillance data, act as a subject matter expert in infection prevention and control, and provide assistance in outbreak investigations. The University of Kentucky (UK) College of Public Health shall provide experienced epidemiologists to provide expertise in analyzing healthcare associated infection data, conduct epidemiological studies. and collect/analyze data using epidemiologic methods. The University of Kentucky (UK) College of Public Health (CPH) shall provide graduate school level assistance in data collection, entry and analysis in healthcare-associated infection outbreak investigations in Kentucky and other epidemiologic functions as needed In the HAI Prevention Program.
