Description

The University of Kentucky (UK) Research Foundation shall provide personnel to carry out the function of a Senior Epidemiologist for the Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention (HDSP) Program and the Respiratory Disease Program. A cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention provides federal funding for staffing for the HDSP program Epidemiologist. This is a required position for the Center for Disease Control cooperative agreement. The newly created Respiratory Disease program in response to the Kentucky Resolution on Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) shall address both Asthma and COPD in Kentucky and is funded through the Preventive Health and Health Services Block grant and allocates funds for an Epidemiologist position.
