Description
ABSTRACT
Research will focus on the development of three targeted technologies: 1) Rapid setting high
performance sprayable concrete to provide strength-enhanced structures and instant repair of
damaged structures; 2) Advanced concrete materials for instant barrier walls and structural
elements; and 3) Calcium sulfoaluminate applications for runway repairs. Each of these
technologies will enhance the mobilization and deployment of the American military in areas
with heavily damaged, limited, or nonexistent infrastructure. Additionally, the proposed project
seeks to develop an educational partnership with the United States Army Engineer Research and
Development Center with purpose to encourage and enhance study in the disciplines of civil
engineering, mechanical engineer, geological science, and blast engineering.
