Grants and Contracts Details
Description
The University of Kentucky College of Medicine, Department of Behavioral Science, in conjunction with
the UK Center on Drug and Alcohol Research, will be responsible for conducting the evaluation for the
Center on Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) funded project with the Hope Center, Inc. The evaluation
approach can be described as a pre/post test design. The design includes follow-up measures at 6 months
post baseline for substance-using individuals in treatment and seeking MAT services in conjunction with
Bluegrass Care Community Clinic. Baseline data will be collected at treatment entry, and supplemented
with data collection (both process and outcome) while individuals receive treatment and at follow-up for
the outcome evaluation for individuals in the Hope Center program. The evaluation has three primary
objectives: (1) To describe client characteristics at treatment entry into the CSAT funded project; (2) To
examine short-term project outcomes based on intensity and duration of treatment; and (3) To complete a
process evaluation. Reports will be provided to Hope Center for regular CQI meetings and annually to
report process and outcome findings. This evaluation will comply with GPRA that includes, but is not
limited to, collecting client outcomes at 6 months and at treatment discharge using GPRA Core Client
Outcomes.
