Grants and Contracts Details
Description
Lala Ma is an environmental economist who has experience using residential sorting methodology to estimate the values placed on environmental amenities and disamenities in housing markets. The research designs she employs pay particular attention to dynamics, incomplete information, and preference heterogeneity, which may complicate and/or confound a researcher’s estimate of household willingness to pay (WTP) for environmental goods. She will serve as the site Principal Investigator (PI). As PI, she will focus intensively on key portions of the project related to empirical estimation and writing. This includes estimation of empirical models using sorting methodology, analyzing key research results, and preparing the project for dissemination, including manuscript preparation.
