Housing First Evaluation

We propose serving as the evaluator for the Housing First pilot being conducted in Lexington Kentucky by the OHPI of LFUCG. The project will involve a randomized control trial for homeless individuals with mental health and substance abuse issues who seek services. A treatment as usual group will be recruited along with the treatment group. The service provider will do all treatment and recruiting. The Center for Business and Economic research will collect and organize data on backgrounds, and outcomes including demographic information and outcomes such as hospitalization, criminal activity, and labor market participation. We will also examine the cost structure of the pilot program compared to other programs and provide a cost benefit analysis.
