Description
SUMMARY OF PROPOSED WORK:
Funding is requested for two undergraduates. One is to work on metal ion incorporation
and activity as a funcational of growth conditions, to determine whether under certain
circumstances biologically incorporated Fe can support activity in MnSOD. The other is to
begin work on a mutant designed to test the possible role of His30 in substrate binding.
