Description

Through ongoing and regular in-person meetings with the Kentucky Department of Education¡¦s (KDE) Assistant Director of the Division of Learning Services (DLS), the Program Manager of the DLS Diverse Learner¡¦s Branch, the division¡¦s Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Part B Data Manager and the division¡¦s financial analyst, the Human Development Institute (HDI) will: --Provide direct and indirect services and support to the Part B Data Manager with Section 618 Data collection, validation and submission: o Continue documenting and updating the processes and procedures for collection, validation and submission of the IDEA December 1 Child Count including Educational Settings o Continue documenting and updating the processes and procedures for collection, validation and submission of the IDEA Exiting and Discipline data o Continue documenting and updating the processes and procedures for collection, validation and submission of the IDEA MOE and CEIS data o Continue documenting and updating the processes and procedures for collection, validation and submission of the Dispute Resolution data o Continue documenting and updating the processes and procedures for collection, validation and submission of the IDEA Personnel Employed to Provide Special Education and Related Services data --Provide direct and indirect services and support to the Part B Data Manager with Section 616 Data: o Documenting the processes and procedures for providing data to staff around the Annual Performance Report (APR) indicators o Documenting the processes and procedures for providing data to staff around the State Systemic Improvement Plan (SSIP) --Provide direct and indirect services and support to the DLS Financial Analyst specific to: o local district maintenance of effort requirements of the IDEA o local district excess cost requirements of the IDEA o calculation of local district allocations under both Sections 611 and 619 of the IDEA o review of local district applications for IDEA funds using Kentucky¡¦s online GMAPS process that includes budgeting IDEA funds -- Provide direct and indirect services and supports to the special education divisions of the state¡¦s nine (9) regional educational cooperatives funded by the Division of Learning Services (DLS). Support will include: o Review of quarterly reports provided by the coops to DLS that demonstrate status and progress on deliverables. o Provide feedback to the special education coops around the quarterly reports.
