Description

The IDEA School Liaison Project focuses on enhancing support from the Kentucky Department of Education to local school districts to improve student outcomes in special education. Dr. Abell and KDE state director of special education, Gretta Helton, will supervise the School TA Liaison position as they implement to project. These staff positions will support local school districts as they work to enhance their compliance with state and federal IDEA regulations. The liaisons will also support district implementation of evidence-based practices focusing on the implementation of positive behavior supports and high quality academic interventions for students with and without disabilities.
