ImPACT Validity: Construct and Diagnostic Validity In a Sports Concussion Sample

Grants and Contracts Details

Description

The goal of the proposed research is to investigate the construct and diagnostic validity of a widely used baseline and post-concussion assessment tool. Specifically, we plan to evaluate the appropriateness of using the immediate Post-Concussion Assessment and Cognitive Testing (ImPACT) computerized software for use with adolescents who have experienced sports concussion. We plan to compare ImPACT scores to scores from traditional measures that assess the same underlying construct. We then plan to compare scores from healthy adolescents to post-concussed adolescents.
