Description

The project will develop and demonstrate the use of a dry coarse clean coal technology for improving the energy efficiency and economics of extracting eastern Kentucky coal as well as reducing the environmental impacts. In addition, the ability of the technology to recover energy from coarse coal reject material will be demonstrated. The project directly addresses several recommendations in the 2005 Kentucky Comprehensive Energy Strategy.
