Improving Inspector Training Using New Camera Technology Mine safety training materials have long included pictures of conditions, equipment, hazards, etc. These images are invaluable to both the trainee and the trainer in conveying important concepts. This project will increase the efficiency of these images by adding information that can be easily gathered, uniquely displayed and shared using off-the-shelf, inexpensive camera technology. The project will be done in cooperation with the WV Department of Miner’s Health and Safety to enhance the typical training given to the inspectors.
