Incorporating Green Infrastructure and Low Impact Development into State Hazard Mitigation Plans

The Hazard Mitigation Grants Program Office under the Martin School of Public Policy and Administration at the University of Kentucky (UK-HMGP) is applying for an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) grant that will integrate green infrastructure and low impact development strategies (GI/LID) into the Commonwealth of Kentucky’s current Enhanced Hazard Mitigation Plan and into updates and maintenance and their subsequent planning processes of local multi- and single-jurisdictional, multi-hazard mitigation plans that will be or have been approved by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
