Grants and Contracts Details

Description

In view of our students' ongoing relationship with JPL, we are proposing an expenses-paid tour of JPL for either Spring Break in March 2005, the period immediately after final exam period in May 2005, or Fall Break. The full-day tour would include visits to the JPL Gossamer structure laboratory, fabrication/model shop (where many satellites and spacecraft are built and assembled prior to launch), Spaceflight Operations Facility (headquarters for current Mars and Saturn missions), as well as exhibits pertaining to the historic mission of JPL. One of the most exciting aspects of the visit would be the opportunity for the students to interact with working engineers, who will provide information on available paths to careers at JPL and NASA.
