Kentucky Injury Prevention Research Center (KIPRC) will provide the professional development, technical assistance and consulting services to the Department for Public Health''s Child Fatality Review and Injury Prevention Program in addition to local injury prevention coalitions, local public health departments, safety advocacy groups and others who are working to address injury problems at the community level. UK shall provide expertise in pediatric injury prevention and surveillance from qualified staff, including a pediatrician specializing in injury prevention. Expert services shall include technical assistance to health departments, the state Child Fatality Review Team, and local Child Fatality Review Teams, and leadership of the Kentucky Safe Kids efforts and Kentucky''s team for the Child Safety Collaborative Improvement and Innovation network national projects. Data analysis shall be related to required measures and topics for the Title V Maternal and Child Health Block grant.
